Oglethorpe University Museum

Occupying the entire third floor of the Philip Weltner Library, the Oglethorpe University Museum of Art opened in the spring of 1993, after extensive renovations of the previous Oglethorpe University Art Gallery (1984-1992). The Museum, which covers 7,000 square feet, offers a comfortable, intimate environment created by two spacious galleries, and an invitingᅠGift Shopᅠfeaturing items of beauty from throughout the world. It has become an important cultural addition to Atlanta’s growing art scene, drawing thousands of visitors each year.
